Hi we are going to talk about animals in Italy. Let's get ready. If you really want to spot some beautiful creatures, I would recommend visiting National Park of Gran Sasso-Laga in Abruzzo. If you do decide to visit, keep an eye out for the Wild boars, wild cats and Apennine wolves. Another national park renowned for its wildlife and animal residents is the Monti Sibillini National Park, 100km west of Rome.in Italy there are about 100 mammal species and over 500 bird species among them. The unique sardinian deer and the corsician  hare.Sadly most of the animal life is limited to national parks due to human interaction and hunting, however numbers are very slowly rising, while some animals are entering the country from neighbouring Slovenia. Italy has one of the lowest amounts of animal life excluding humans in Europe however in the Alps you can normally spot a Marmot Chamois or an Ibex

landmarks most people can easily link to Italy. in Rome, right next to the
Colosseum is the 'Forum Romanum The original ancient town's central
square with ruins of the temples palaces and buildings of ancient Rome,
are a magnificent sight. The famous leaning tower is in fact the city
cathedral's bell tower, in Italian called 'campanile'. The tower was
constructed in 1173 but the structure was miscalculated
and built on not so solid ground.

Writing - Italy

I am going to be talking about Mona Lisa, how she became famous and when and everything about her so then let get started. How did Lisa become famous? As you all might not know she became famous It became an overnight sensation. “Before its theft,” notes NPR, “the 'Mona Lisa' was not widely known outside the art world. Leonardo da Vinci painted it in 1507, but it wasn't until the 1860s that critics began to hail it as a masterwork of Renaissance painting. It was the intrigue of an art heist.

If you guys are asking, is she famous?Once the Mona Lisa was returned to the Louvre, the French turned out in droves to see her, and soon, so did people from all over the globe. The small, simple painting of a maybe-smiling woman had become an overnight sensation, and was the most famous work of art in the world

Who painted Mona Lisa? According to widely accepted historical wisdom, Leonardo Da Vinci painted his Renaissance masterwork “Mona Lisa” sometime between 1503 and 1517, while he worked in Florence and later in France. Beyond those vague details, the painting's origins have been draped in mystery.

Why did Leonardo Da Vinci draw Moni Lisa? The painting was to be a portrait of Giocondo's wife, Lisa del Giocondo, which the couple intended to hang in their new home to celebrate the birth of their new son, Andrea. Leonardo began his painting in 1503 and continued his work for three years.

Hi My name is Khalia and I will be talking about Great White Sharks so let get started . Commonly known as this legendary great white shark is far more fearsome in our imagination than in reality.  As scientific research on these elusive predators increases, their image as mindless killing machines is beginning to fade.

Highly adapted predators, their mouths are lined with up to 300 serrated,
triangular teeth arranged in several rows, and they have an exceptional
sense of smell to detect prey. They even have organs that can sense the
tiny electromagnetic fields generated by animals. Their main prey items
include sea lions, seals, small toothed whales, and even sea turtles, and
carrion.

The great white shark was added to the endangered list because its
population has dropped due to the unregulated trade and excessive
hunting. The great white shark is the top predator of the ocean, and adults
have no threats in the seas. However, humans kill a large number
of white sharks every year to get their teeth and jaws for trading, their
meat for eating and their fins for remedies.

Wednesday: Writing Task

Hi Today i am going to be talking about Giant Pacific Octopus as you might know you may be thinking Where do they live? or  What do they eat? Who are there predators? What do they look like? How many Kg do they weigh?. Well I am  going to be talking about them.

Where do they live? They range throughout the temperate waters of the
Pacific, from southern California to Alaska, west to the Aleutian Islands
and Japan.

What do they eat? Giant Pacific octopuses spend most of their lives
alone. They hunt at night for shrimp, clams, lobsters and fish, but have
also been known to eat small sharks using their beak-like mouths to
puncture prey. Along with eight arms, an octopus also has three hearts
and nine brains.

Who are their predators? Marine mammals, such as harbour seals, sea
otters, and sperm whales depend upon the giant Pacific octopus as a
source of food. Pacific sleeper sharks are also confirmed predators of
this species. In addition, the octopus along with cuttlefish and squid are
major sources of protein for human consumption.

What do they look like? Giant Pacific octopuses have huge, bulbous
heads and are generally reddish-brown in colour. Like the other members
of the octopus family, though, they use special pigment cells in their skin
to change colours and textures, and can blend in with even the most
intricately patterned corals, plants, and rocks.
